Pectinal Melittin induces the transcription of pro-apoptotic genes P57, Caspase3, Caspase9, and Bax at a substantial level (P < 0.01) and reduces the transcription of anti-apoptotic genes BCL2, MMP2, and MMP9 at a considerable level (P < 0.001).
